After investing on industrial and medical gases production, steel production which is based on high industrial gases consumption was the second investment for Habaş.
The steel mill producing high quality steel products, is located at Aliaga / Izmir and has been a pride of the Habaş Group since 1987.
Parallel to the technological improvements achieved on steel production, many modernization and expansion investments have realized in the steel mill since the establihment.
Today, Habaş is one of the leading steel producers in Türkiye with its 4.500.000 metric tons of liquid steel production capacity per year.
The steel mill is integrated and has the below functions for steel production:
- Steelmaking,
- Casting
- Roughing rolling / Billet rolling,
- Product rolling
along with a modern filtration system against dust and smoke pollution and a sea port 7 kms away the facility.
