An electric arc furnace (EAF) located in the meltshop is used for steel making. Low, medium and high carbon steels, low alloy steels are produced at the melt shop. Meltdown of scrap metal along with some direct reduced iron (DRI) or pig iron for chemical balance is performed in the EAF. Once the temperature and chemistry are correct, the steel is tapped out into a preheated ladle through tilting the furnace.
After undergoing ladle treatments, such as alloying and degassing, the molten steel is fed to the top of the continous billet caster whereby molten steel is solidified into a square cross section "semifinished" billet.
Afterwards the billets are hot rolled to
The annual capacity of the reinforcement bar roller is 1.900.000 tons and the wire roller is 500.000 tons.
