With a long-standing history of over 68 years in the Turkish industry, HABAŞ made a new investment in the field of Shipbuilding by purchasing Yıldız Shipyard in Tuzla/Istanbul in 2021.
Yıldız Shipyard continues its activities in the fields of shipbuilding, yacht construction, ship maintenance and repair as well as yacht refit operations in the Tuzla shipyard region.
Manufacturing in Yıldız Shipyard is conducted in a total area of 44.100 m², including a 41.000 m² Tuzla campus and 3,100 m² pier and filling area.
Yıldız Shipyard, which operates with an annual construction capacity of 100.000 DWT, is the first and only private shipyard in Turkey that produces and uses its own ship plate. The access to steel, industrial gases that are produced and the power plants that are owned by HABAŞ allows Yıldız Shipyard to have a competitive position in the global Shipbuilding market.With the modern and new investments made by HABAŞ in Yıldız Shipyard, Yıldız Shipyard has reached an annual steel processing capacity of 15.000 tons.
Yıldız Shipyard provides services in the fields of military and commercial construction of new ships, ship conversion projects, mega yachts, special steel constructions and industrial projects in terms of competence and equipment.
